Szamorodni is made only in the very best years at the final stage of harvest when the one by one picking of aszú berries is over and eventually the whole bunches are harvested, macerated and then pressed in manual presses. The extra high density must is fermented and aged in locally made barrels and this is how „főbor” („main wine”) is born.
