Kéknyelű (’Blue Stalk’) is the flagship variety of Csendes Dűlő Estate and year in year out it retains the power to surprise even the winemakers with its multifaceted character. 2013 was one of the most outstanding vintages in the winery’s history and the owners kept their fingers crossed hoping that sooner or later another vintage would turn up with similar balance and quality. In 2017 their wishes were fulfilled. The 2017 Kéknyelű is off-dry and the residual sugar fits it like a glove. The wine is a beautiful expression of the delicate minerality that is typical of grapes planted on the Estate’s Permian red limestone soils.
