The grapes for the Laposa BalatonBor come from the lower reaches of Gulács, an area perfectly suited for the production of bright, crunchy whites. The vineyard is still young, planted 7 years ago, with a western exposure and soils mainly composed of Pannon sand. It consistently yields grapes of optimal ripeness and fine acidity, so it was a logical decision by the winery to rely on this vineyard for their BalatonBor. The grapes were harvested on September 23 and showed perfect technological ripeness. 100% Olaszrizling fermented and aged in steel tanks. The style chosen was that of the BalatonBor Origo: a light but not thin, easy to drink Olaszrizling.
The colour is pale greenish yellow, the nose shows intense notes of flowers, mainly reseda and elderberry. The dry and refreshing palate offers fresh fruit and crunchy acidity. It’s a Lake Balaton Olaszrizling through and through which has the power to bring back memories of „Balaton summer” no matter what the season is or where you are.
