ÁTS Family Winery – Aszú, 2016

Károly Áts, winner of the „Winemaker of the Year” award in 2012 and „Winemaker of the Winemakers” in 2020, established his family winery together with his daughter Dóri in 2012. They apply strict yield control in their Mád vineyards, and the harvested grapes are vinified in Tarcal.

The 2016 is the second vintage of their aszú. Made predominantly from Furmint, this is a weighty, substantial, complex wine with aromas of honey and dried fruit and bracing acidity. The content is that of a 6 puttonyos and this is a truly exceptional wine for special occasions.
