Szent Donát Winery- Magma, 2019

Here’s some basic information on this wine. Tihany is a windy area with significant diurnal temperature variations and its main variety is Kékfrankos. The peninsula is the result of ancient volcanic activity and the vineyards are situated on the wall of a crater surrounding the Inner Lake. ‘Magma’ is crafted by adhering to the most authentic red wine vinification methods. Fermentation is done in small, open vats with manual punch down of the cap. The wine is aged for 10-12 months in used French oak barrels. It is bottled without fining or filtering.
